Saurabh Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur & currently founder CEO of India’s largest & fastest growing mobile gaming company Octro, Inc.
In 2002, he started his entrepreneurial journey with PDAapps. PDAapps started off with developing small utilities apps to fill the gaps in the smartphones at that time. In 2003, he launched VeriChat - the world’s first mobile instant messaging app for smartphones. He sold PDAapps to Intellisync which further got acquired by Nokia. In 2006, Saurabh decided to move on from the company which led to the foundation of Octro....
Octro started working on OctroTalk - a VoIP enabled Instant Messaging Client. Picking right consumer and business insight then Saurabh decided that most utility apps had become free, and the only once on the mobile app stores making money direct from consumers were games. In 2012, he pivoted into online gaming with launch of Teen Patti by Octro and there has been no looking back ever since. Sequoia Capital invested in Octro in 2014.
As per AppAnnie, Teen Patti by Octro is one of the only two, among the top 10 mobile games by consumer spend in India in CY19 while all others are from outside.
His 13 years of entrepreneurial experience led one event to another and took him to the top of Indian gaming app market. He gets a thrill out of building technology that is touching everyone. Seeing his products being used and loved by the common man drives him to widen his goals and achieve them.
Saurabh has done his MS from Stanford University.
Manav Sethi heads the Global Marketing Portfolio at Sequoia Capital invested Octro Inc. which is the largest and the fastest growing mobile gaming company headquartered in India.
With leadership experience across OTT, Omnichannel marketplaces, local search, maps & classifieds, he was earlier Group Chief Marketing Officer for Eros International where he supervised studio business and growth of OTT platform ErosNow. Prior to Eros, Manav was founding Chief Marketing Officer at India’s then largest SVOD platform ALTBalaji, which received investment from Reliance JIO in 2017....
In his earlier assignment at Getit Infomedia, he scaled omnichannel marketplaces ASKME & ASKMEBazaar as founding product & marketing head from 0 to 100M MAU and USD 400M annualized sales.
In his current role at Octro, Manav brings with him extensive experience through his impressive track record of over 18 years in managing and scaling up teams across product, marketing, corporate strategy, business development & alliances.
He has formal education in Management & Law. He is an active angel investor in the Indian startup ecosystem.
